AIM
The NCD online course is open to Medical Professionals who need to learn on basic management of NCD and those who wish to further improve their knowledge on NCDs, however the materials have been tailored for medical professionals working at the health centres who are our primary target. The course content consists of lessons on different groups of NCD diseases are divided into different modules each with their learning objectives.
ACCREDITATION
The NCD training is formally recognized for Continuous Professional Development and has been accredited by the Medical Council of Tanganyika (MCT). It has a total of 12 points.
REGISTRATION
The participants will need to register online to access the course using any mobile device or computer. The contents can be read online or downloaded for offline reading.
Once registered, the participants will have to do a pre-assessment test that includes questions on all modules so as to test their knowledge pre-course. Furthermore, after completion of each module, participants will have to complete post- assessment test before moving to the next module. After completion of all modules the participants will complete an overall post-assessment test to mark the end of the course. All these tests can be done only while online. The registered participants will have 2 months from the registration date to complete the course and after successfully passing the post -assessment test, the participants will have access to their certificates.
TDA
Tanzania Diabetes Association (TDA) in collaboration with Ministry of Health Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MoHCDGEC) and President’s Office Regional Administrative and Local Government (PORALG) developed a Comprehensive NCD Training Package as part of the implementation of National NCD program in strengthening NCD services at primary health care in the country.The program aims at building the capacity of health care providers at the primary healthcare levels as well as strengthening the referral pathways for NCDs at all healthcare levels them. The NCDs training can be accessed both physically and virtually so as to reach to a large number of healthcare providers. This is to ensure that regardless of the limited funds or time to attend the physical training, healthcare providers can still obtain NCD training and refresher trainings at the tip of their fingers by accessing the training online course through their electronic devices.
